By getting really honest and creating from there.
This isn’t personal development. It's how we change, and the world evolves.
What shaped you is not what is you
Before we knew who we were, the world already started telling us what life was supposed to look like and who we had to be.
Without realising it, we started building a life around a set of instructions that were never really ours.
And we all do this. Me included.
The slow, invisible accumulation of everything we were told to believe, want and value -
that ignores who we actually are underneath it all.
Inherited beliefs, energy, patterns, ways of being. Definitions of success, worth, love and how the world works.
And because everyone around you is doing the same thing, it never occurs to you to question it.
We get very good at living the life we picked up along the way.
This creates distortion.
We push towards measures we never consciously chose.
Being who we thought we should be. What we thought we wanted.
Whilst our patterns underneath quietly rule our lives without us even realising.
We build. Learn. Do the thing. Jump through the hoops.
Achieve. Optimise. Push ourselves.
And keep going.
And it’s exhausting.
Under it all, Your truth never left you
It’s been waiting for you to hear it again.
Something in you feels it. Knows it, and maybe sees it.
You knew something was off, and now it's rising in you,
the feeling you can’t shake.
You know there more you want.
To give, be, do.
You just might not see what it is yet.

I’ve worked in the creative industry for nearly 20 years, a blank sheet of paper, the mind going quiet,
the space before the ideas arrive...
That’s where creation begins; ideas start. It's where we receive insight.
And that's where your cleanest decisions come from.
Outside the creative space, we’ve been taught to fear the unknown.
To ignore our inner knowing, our intuition, to mistrust our deepest wishes, desires.
To cling to what makes sense and not feel what’s true and very real for us.

Someone who is fully themselves is the most disruptive, alive force in any room, relationship, industry or life they inhabit.
You make cleaner decisions. You stop outsourcing your knowing, building from inherited measures, underlying patterns
and your voice gets clearer.
Your work carries more depth and you no longer perform.
You create and share the things that can only come from you.
Leading from your truth is one of the most radical things you can do.
This isn’t retreating from ambition, navel-gazing at the expense of impact. It’s the opposite. And it's what compounds impact.
Because so much of the current world has been built on distortion. Economies, industries, cultures -
constructed to keep consuming, trying to make it work, comparing, chasing the next thing.
And the ones who step off that treadmill and act on what is true for them are opting into something far far more powerful.
And it's not self-indulgent

When you stop living as who you think you should be, start living from your truth,
showing up as who you actually are, clearing what's in the way,
you give permission for others to do the same.
This doesn't stop with you
I see distortion in organisations too.
People ignore the truth, their truth and be who they think they have to be to hold it all together.
Organisations, over-relying on people, systems and ways of working past their due date. What once solved a problem, now a burden draining time, money and energy.
A new level of growth requires a new level of capacity.
A deeper understanding and knowing of
what feeds and what drains,
what no longer works and what is required now.
